Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)
Administered through a nasal mask. Provides mild calming effects within minutes. Wears off quickly after the mask is removed, allowing most patients to drive home. Appropriate for mild anxiety and routine procedures.
Oral Sedation
A prescribed pill taken approximately one hour before the appointment. Produces moderate drowsiness. You will remain responsive but may have limited memory of the procedure. A driver home is required.
IV Sedation (TIVA)
Total intravenous anesthesia administered through an IV line by our on-site CRNA. Provides deep sedation — patients are unaware of the procedure and have no memory of it. Required for complex or lengthy surgical cases. Driver home required.
